Meet our family
We are a family-run business, working from our office on the border of Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire. We have four children, three still living at home - life is very busy! At the very core of our accountancy practice is our belief in fairness and inclusion. This is of particular importance to us as one of our children has both learning and physical disabilities (and is is utterly awsesome!). We like to run our business with the same ethics we apply to our personal lives; by ensuring everyone gets the support they need and that everyone is treated fairly.
Our mission
At Evolve Accounting, we make managing money straightforward and accessible. We break down financial barriers with clear, honest support so our clients can handle their finances confidently, without stress or confusion.
Our values
-
True inclusion for all – We welcome everyone; respecting, valuing and understanding each person’s uniqueness.
-
Simple yet expert – We speak your language, simplifying the complex with our people-first approach.
-
Integrity – Fairness, transparency, and honesty are at the core of everything we do.
-
Ethically bold – We are outspoken, honest, and dedicated to ethical practices that prioritise a fair society.
-
Empowerment – We equip people to take control of their finances with confidence.
-
Genuine connection – We build real, caring relationships, offering expert support every step of the way.
Emma Bail CGMA
I am a qualified Accountant with The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and founded Evolve Accounting from our home in St. Neots, near Cambridge in 2014 after the birth of my first baby.
Before starting Evolve Accounting, I worked for a number of high-profile large organisations in a range of industries including manufacturing, retail, recruitment and fine art so I have a lot of experience across many business sectors.
My passion has always been small business. My Dad is a small business owner, I grew up understanding the hard work it takes to get a small business off the ground and just how many different hats a small business owner must wear.
My focus is to support my clients with all financial aspects of their business; from annual accounts, tax returns and a valuable advisory service to help clients to understand their financial reports and the impact they have on their business.

I am an experienced Accountant focusing on our sole trader clients from bookkeeping, year end accounts and self-assessment tax returns.
I particularly enjoy helping clients to manage their records, improve their processes and increase efficiency because it means they can spend more time running their business instead of staring at paperwork.
I find my background of working in a range of industries from healthcare, telecoms and recruitment helps me to understand our different types of clients.
